Positioning Heads to Print Two Independent Blocks (S/N 131 or Higher)
Due to the mechanical arrangement of the new transport pressure rollers (hold down units) and the additional paper
sensors, installed in DA615’s S/N 131 or higher, you can now enjoy greater flexibility in address block positioning.
If you want to separate the print areas, as shown in the diagram above, you must make sure that a specific minimum
offset (V) exists between the print-head pairs (H2-H1 or H4-H3) in order to avoid smudging of the image. If this
minimum offset (V) is not observed, the pressure rollers from one head unit will track over the image being produced
by the other head unit and cause smudging (damage to the image).
The following table shows how each offset affects the distance between the head units.
